Unstopables by Downy Review

I was introduced to Downy Unstopables because they were giving away free samples if you "Like"d them on Facebook. I never say no to a free sample and even though I wasn't completely sure what it even was, I sent away for it. The idea is that you put these scented beads in the washer with your clothes (not in the detergent spot, in the actual washer) and then be amazed at how long your clothes smell great. I got my sample in the mail a few days ago and this was my experience:

The sample packet says to dump the WHOLE packet into the washer with one load. I was a little scared to do that because the scent is pretty strong so I used about 1/5 of the packet for one load. That was plenty. In fact, I think my clothes smell a little TOO good right now. I can't imagine if I had used the whole packet.

I'm not sure if I'll continue to use it or not. The smell is good but somewhat overwhelming. Perhaps this would be a good product to use if you have a house full of teenage boys who play hockey...but until then, normal good-smelling laundry detergent is enough for me! I don't think I would actually spend money on this product...
