Customer Service Review: Kanga Care / Rumparooz

Short Story: incompetent, unhelpful, somewhat unethical

Long story:

I started having really bad leak issues and went through ALL the troubleshooting of stripping them with this and that and the other thing, checking fit, adding every kind of absorbent insert in the book. I contacted Kanga Care for advice on what to do next since nothing was working. We went in circles for weeks and weeks about how to solve this and they kept giving me the the same advice:

Baby Savings: Bedding

If you are someone who MUST have a matching sheet/bumper/quilt/wall hangings set, then this post is not for you.

If you are someone who looks at those matching sheet/bumper/quilt/wall hangings sets and wonders how in the world to avoid spending such an insane amount, then this post is for you.

It's very simple really

Fitted Sheets: $9.99 each (even if you buy 3 or 4, you're spending less).

Savings: $55.02

See? It still matches and everything. Plus, bumpers are supposedly a no-no these days so why spend money on a set that includes one?

Baby Savings: Crib

I bought a used crib. Ultimate crime, I know.

In searching for a used crib, you have to ask ALL the right questions to make sure you are getting a crib that is SAFE. When I emailed people about their used cribs on Craigslist, I asked a TON of questions and probably left most of them thinking I was a psycho. But, I prefer to be labeled as such over running the risk of putting my baby in a questionable crib.

Questions to ask when buying a used crib:

What brand?
What model number?
What year?

If people didn't have these answers, I did not even CONSIDER buying the crib -even if the crib looked like a reputable brand/model from the picture. If I didn't know for sure, I considered it to be dangerous.

I took this information and Googled the absolute snot out of the crib. Many didn't make the cut and it took me months to finally find a crib that I thought was a good value AND safe. 

I ended up purchasing a Da Vinci Emily II in white.
